Interesting Blog Stats
Looking thru my stats for TheUnclean.com from this past week and noticed a huge jump in visitors and pageviews. My top day for this past week was Saturday, November 22, 2008 with 1,136 pageviews. Not surprising, my top posts came from the customized gallery, specifically the one for the SuicideGirls:
- SuicideGirl Quinne with 70 page views
- SuicideGirl Flux with 32 page views
- SuicideGirl Ember with 15page views
- SuicideGirl Mary with 14page views
- And SuicideGirl Rylee also with 14 page views
Site changes for The Unclean
To deal with some issues in the code and usability, I spent some time today cleaning up some of the CSS and then making some changes to the site today.
Tools:
I added the Glodabl Translation plugin to the site and now, at the top every page are flag icons to translate the content into 10 different languages. Just below the flag flags, are the search box and links to login, check the archive and view the tags.
There are many posts on the site that don’t have a sidebar, so I made sure that user friendly tools were still available. Another reason for moving the tools to the top, was to replace the ugly ass 468×60 advertising banner.

Gallery
I really like the way I coded the updated layout for the galleries. When you first enter The Unclean Gallery you see some random thumbnails from the two existing galleries; one for fashion & style and the other dedicated to the suicidegirls. Just below these two groups of random images are some of the most recent additions.

I have some more cleaning up to do and may remove some plugins by adding functionality to the theme. For now, I am happy with the changes. If you took a look at the site, and are familiar with either blogs or the gothic industrial community, post a comment and let me know what you think.
